Abstract: Letters sent, 1861 Apr.-1865 Sep., by Union soldier Walter Stone Poor to his sister, Mary S. Poor, and his friend (later, brother-in-law), George W. Fox, secretary of the American Unitarian Association, Boston. WWII marked the last foreign conflict that the 10th Infantry Regiment served in direct support of. Colonel Bendix and Lieutenant Colonel Marshall mustered out with the regiment at New York City at the end of the two year term of service. ON the 26th of April, the State Board numbered and accepted the regiment into the State service and confirmed the election of the following field officers, viz: Walter W. McChesney, colonel, Alex B.
