(1) An institution may grant credit to a student for prior experiential learning only if: (A) The prior learning is equivalent to a college or university level of learning; (B) The learning experience demonstrates a balance between theory and practice and; (C) The credit awarded for the prior learning experience directly relates to the student's degree program and is applied in satisfaction of some of the degree requirements. (g) "Credential" means publicly demonstrated skills and experiences whose achievement has been recognized by an official credential or award given by a professional association.
